The Township of Tiny is participating in the North Simcoe Toy Caravan this holiday season!
It has been part of the Toy Caravan since its induction in 2015. In its beginnings, a group of volunteers and a large transport truck delivered toys to primary locations throughout North Simcoe. Each municipality reached out to local
charities and families in need to pick up toys at the time of drop-off. As the event evolved, representatives from each region picked up toys from a depot on behalf of participating charities and delivered them directly.
Over the years, Tiny has served over 90 children per year on average.
Due to the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Toy Caravan in North Simcoe did not take place. This year, North Simcoe hopes to serve as many families as in previous years.
Pickup will take place at the old Port McNicoll school on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, where Township of Tiny Staff will deliver donations to those who have expressed a need.
The Township of Tiny has issued a Press Release regarding the 2022 North Simcoe Caravan.
