The COVID-19 outbreak involving members of the Town of Wasaga Beach organization has ended.
As well, all town facilities that closed to the public have reopened.
The town wishes to note that while it referred to the occurrence as an outbreak – this is done any time that two or more members test positive during the same event – at no time did the Simcoe-Muskoka District Health Unit officially declare an outbreak.
Once again, the town wishes to thank the health unit and the South Georgian Bay Community Health Centre for assistance during the outbreak.
In addition, the town wishes to thank the many people who expressed concern and support. Thank you for the phone calls and e-mails.
