The Town of Goderich is hoping to expand services at town hall in the new year.
While town hall remains open to the public, Mayor John Grace says a skeleton staff has been keeping operations afloat during the pandemic.
“Come January 4th, we’ll open it up even more, and we’ll have a full complement of staff,” Grace tells Country 104.9 News.
Grace says the town has been working with public health officials to ensure any expansion of services at Goderich Town Hall is done safely.
He expects expanded services coming in the new year will allow residents to resume in-person talks with town hall about construction initiatives.
“It’s really about the accessibility to staff, to sit down one-on-one,” Grace says.
“That is really a big service that we’ve always had, that we haven’t been able to do.”
