McKeachnie Awarded
The Ontario Lacrosse Association Annual General Meeting was staged last weekend
Owen Sound resident Sharon McKeachnie was recognized & will receive a 30-Year Volunteer Service Award
McKeachnie is one of 31 individuals recognized from across the province for their outstanding and sustained contributions to lacrosse.
Typically, these awards are presented in-person as part of the OLA’s Annual Awards Banquet in Niagara Falls following the Annual General Meeting. This year, the AGM is limited in its audience capacity, and as such, not all award nominees will be present.
As a result, the names of the volunteer service award recipients will be announced verbally by the speaker and listed together in the Annual General Meeting Convention booklet.
The individuals will not receive their physical awards until a special ceremony prior to the 2022 season (tentatively slated to be the 2022 Semi-Annual General Meeting, if health predictions continue to favour that possibility).
