I have good news and bad news for the Owen Sound Attack.
First, the Bad News; the Attack are at London tonight to face the Knights.
The Good News ?…..The Attack are at London tonight to face the Knights.
On the surface that may seem confusing and contradictory, but if you’ve seen the first 10 Attack games this year, you know what I mean.
London is 8 & 0 on the season which includes 4 head-to-head victories against Owen Sound.
If you’ve spent one second around any London fan or media member, you know they’ve assured themselves they’ll be 9 & 0 tonight, plus they’re entertaining the possibility of a 68 & 0 season.
That’s the Bad News.
Now the Good News……..the 4 London wins over Owen Sound haven’t been walkovers. Three one goal games including a shootout victory + another in which a poor 1st period put Owen Sound in a hole they couldn’t dig out of.
To be fair in anyone’s assessment, the Attack have played London hard,
But beyond that, the extra good news is that the Attack are playing London and not Guelph tonight.
This is perplexing……
While Owen Sound has played unbeaten London very well, they’ve been dreadful against a hard working but average Guelph squad.
As someone suggested if Owen Sound played Guelph as hard and as well as they played London, there’d be two less ugly losses on the docket.
That same person suggested that Owen Sound played London as poorly as they’ve played Guelph, than the Knights would win by 2 touchdowns.
Good News or Bad News. We’ll see tonight in London
