A COVID-19 outbreak has prompted the closure of one school in the Avon Maitland District School Board.
Ten cases of the novel coronavirus were announced at Milverton Public School, affecting thirteen classes, and closing the school.
The closure of Milverton P.S. is the first case of a school-wide outbreak reported by the AMDSB for the 2021-22 academic year.
A single case was also reported at Central Huron Secondary School on Sunday, but has not closed any classes.
