Two teens have suffered serious injuries, after the vehicle they were in crashed into a tree and burst into flames in Springwater.
The accident happened around 4am Sunday, on County Road 27 north of Horseshoe Valley Road.
Police say the teens were miraculously able to remove themselves from the fiery wreck, before being taken to Toronto area trauma centres.
Police are appealing to any motorists that may have witnessed the collision, or stopped to take photos and/or video to contact them.
Following the collision, numerous videos of the incident and ensuing fire appeared on several social media platforms. The OPP remind motorists to put their phones and cameras down unless they intend to call 911 to ensure the proper agencies are dispatched to the emergency. Fortunately the teens were able to escape the burning car on their own.
No charges have been laid at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
