Nominations are now open for the 2021 Mayor’s Innovation Awards.
It’s an annual initiative celebrating and recognizing the year’s most creative solutions from businesses, individuals, and community groups in Barrie.
“Once again, we look forward to discovering and celebrating stories of strength, creativity, and adaption from across the community at this year’s Mayor’s Innovation Awards,” said Mayor Jeff Lehman. “As we continue to respond to the changing landscape of COVID-19, we want to recognize businesses, individuals, and organizations whose innovative approaches and sheer determination contribute to a resilient foundation for Barrie.”
This year’s awards bring back four categories: Creative Collaboration, Pivot Point, Community Impact, and Shift Disturber.
Nominees and finalists are evaluated by more than 20 judges across all four categories from the region and province. Nominations are open to businesses, organizations, and individuals from all sectors, stages, and sizes. Nominations will be accepted until December 19, 2021. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in March 2022.
