A stolen truck in Barrie has led to the arrests of two people on several charges.
An officer saw the stolen truck parked at a hotel on Essa Road early Tuesday morning and the investigation led officers to a hotel room where two suspects were taken into custody.
Police say they also located a large amount of crystal meth, cocaine, and fentanyl, along with several knives which were determined to be prohibited weapons.
A 31-year-old Barrie male was charged with:
- 3 counts Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
- 3 counts Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000
- Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000
- Possession Prohibited Weapon
- 4 counts of Possessing Weapons Contrary to Prohibition Orders
A 38-year-old Barrie female was charged with:
- 3 counts Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
- 3 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000
- Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000
- Possession Prohibited Weapon
The approximate value of the seized drugs was $8,500. Both parties were held for bail.
