If you see a group of ladies dressed in pink with hiking gear on this Saturday morning in Bracebridge there’s a good reason for that.
The Hiker Babes of Muskoka will be doing a 10 km urban hike in the downtown then to support the Breast Cancer Society of Canada’s ‘Dress for the Cause’ events which are happening all over throughout the month of October.
We spoke with group spokesperson Ashley Lynn who says there are 900 members in the local chapter who meet 2-3 times a week all over Muskoka.
Saturday, it’s for a great cause that encourages all Canadians to get out and donate to breast cancer research.
“So we’re trading in our forest views and trails for an urban hike,” she says. “We’re going to be doing two laps f the Town of Bracebridge, which is roughly 10 km starting at 9:30 am downtown.”
