Normally as we head into the weekend at this time of the year, I’d be talking about the Major League Baseball Championship Series, and if not that, then local hockey.

The Knights of Meaford have a rare Greater Metro Junior Hockey League home game Saturday night against the Almaguin Spartans
In Collingwood tonight, the Blues host the Oakville Blades at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena
In the PJHL’s Pollock Division tonight Walkerton is at Hanover & Kincardine travels to Wingham
And there are 5 WOAA Senior game with the Lucknow Lancers, Shallow Lake Crushers, Saugeen Shores Winterhawks, Ripley Wolves and Durham Thundercats all in action tonight.
And while all of that is of interest, my primary focus, in a surprising twist for me, is the National Football League.
Sunday afternoon, there’s two major matchups.
The early game has the LA Chargers at Baltimore to meet the Ravens. Both teams are 4 & 1 and lead their divisions in the AFC
Then later in the day in a crossover matchup, the undefeated Arizona Cardinals at 5 & 0 are at Cleveland to meet the Browns who are 3 & 2.
I should mention that betting the spread on the Browns the last 3 weeks has been profitable which explains why I’m eager to see what transpires on Sunday afternoon in the NFL.
