Bruce County council has approved a Covid vaccination policy for county employees and councillors.
According to a release from the county, it will require county staff, council, volunteers, students, contractors and consultants to provide proof of being fully vaccinated or proof or a medical exemption, with those who don’t undergoing regular testing and required to complete an education program.
“Throughout the pandemic, Bruce County has implemented new procedures in a continued effort to provide a safe and healthy workplace for county employees,” says Bruce County Warden Janice
Jackson in a statement. “The county continues to adapt our workplace to address changes in pandemic requirements and ensure precautions are in place that safeguard staff.”
The Grey Bruce Medical Officer of Health recommended that employers develop a workplace vaccination policy to protect their workers and the public Covid.
