West Grey Police have arrested and charged a Varney man after a gunshot was allegedly fired during a domestic dispute.
Police say on Wednesday (Oct 6) their Criminal Investigations Branch and their Uniformed Operations Unit executed an arrest warrant at a residence in Varney in connection to the incident which occurred on Tuesday, October 5th.
Police say the suspect was found hiding in an outbuilding on the property.
A 35-year-old Varney man was arrested without incident and charged with:
Careless Use of Firearm
Theft of Firearm
Mischief
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (X2)
Possession of Weapon Dangerous to Public
Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order (X2)
He was scheduled for a bail hearing today.
