With Thanksgiving weekend approaching, many people are faced with the tough question of who to invite over for dinner.
Ontario’s Medical Officer of Health said yesterday that the annual social gathering poses risks when it comes to the spread of the Delta virus.
Dr. Kieran Moore said if all of your guests are vaccinated, then the masks can come off.
However, he said if your gathering involves both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals, extra precautions should be taken, especially to protect children and anyone else who is susceptible to the virus.
Recent data shows more than 20 per cent of the current COVID-19 cases across Canada have been among those under the age of 18.
The doctor is also reminding Ontarians of the current gathering limits in place, which allow up to 25 people indoors and 100 people outdoors.
