The Grey Bruce Ladies League season wrapped up last night with a back and forth battle between the top two teams; the Desboro Royals and the Tara Ladies
The Royals won the title with a narrow 7-6 victory.
Winning pitcher Maddy Moore was 3 for 3 at the dish, with a trio of doubles to right field.
Moore tossed all 7 innings, allowing 5 hits, with 4 walks and 8 strikeouts.
Robyn Cottrell tripled and doubled in the victory
Patti Scarrow contributed a double and single while Jess McGregor added a pair of singles.
Tara’s Christie Goudy threw 6 innings, with LeeAnne Cochrane coming in for relief.
The Royals led 3-0 early before Tara plated 3 runs in the 5th inning and 3 more in the 6th to take a 6-5 lead on clutch doubles by Court Cahoon, Michelle McNabb and Heidi McLeod.

The annual OSAC McDonald’s Swim Meet with regional teams from Hanover & Orangeville also competing will be staged on the weekend of November 19th.

The event which attracts runners and walkers to travel from Oliphant to Wiarton has been staged since 1953.
