Provincial Police say a missing person search is underway in Northern Bruce Peninsula.
Grey Bruce OPP, Bruce Peninsula EMS and Northern Bruce Peninsula firefighters responded to a canoeists in distress call around 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon near Dyers Bay Road.
OPP say one occupant was transported to a local hospital with injuries deemed non-life threatening.
Emergency services personnel and members of the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre Trenton are continuing to search for a second canoe occupant. OPP say their Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU) is assisting with the search.
Police advise an increased presence can be expected in and around the Dyers Bay Area.
OPP say further updates will be released as more information becomes available.
