The transfer approval is effective immediately and the Owen Sound franchise is slated to begin operation for the 2022 Major season.
The Major Series and the Owen Sound franchise simply couldn’t wait any longer in the transfer process that has been ongoing and bogged down by a series of appeals from a small group connected to the former Excelsiors franchise at Brampton
It’s notable the Ontario Lacrosse Association has not formally approved the move.

from Golf Ontario
Cold fall golf conditions ushered in round one of the 2021 Ontario Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship, at the scenic Taboo Muskoka. Known for its panoramic beauty, the Taboo golf course is a captivating gateway to Muskoka, one of Canada’s truly outstanding golf destinations. While cooler blue skies hung overhead all day, the competitors took to the challenging and beautiful course in hopes of an early hot start.
Holding the leader position after round one with an impressive score of four-under par (67) is Brett Mitchell (Galt Country Club), who shot four birdies on a clean scorecard to finish off the low score of the day. Sitting alone in second with a three-under (68) for the day, including five birdies and two bogeys, is Jonn Drewery (Westmount G&CC). One stroke back of Drewery is both 2019 Champion Charles Fitzsimmons (St. Thomas G&CC) and Ryan Kings (Deer Ridge GC) with solid two-under rounds (69).
After round two, Golf Ontario will be making cuts to the low 48 scorers (and anyone tying for 48th place) to continue play into the third and final round. The second round of the Ontario Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship will begin at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday morning)
