The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is reporting 16 new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths in its latest update.
Among the new cases are 10 unvaccinated individuals, while four of today’s cases are children (0-17 years old) in Orillia, Bracebridge, Bradford West-Gwillimbury, and New Tecumseth.
Today’s update also includes 40 newly resolved cases.
To date, 84 percent of the region’s over-12 population has received its first vaccination while 78 percent have received their second.
