Phase 2 development of the Springwater Community Hub is moving forward, after being approved by council.
It will be located at 1132 Snow Valley Road, on a property known as the Hasty Tract.
Planned amenities for the Community Hub include the relocation of Fire Station 2, a new recreation complex, library and creative services, meeting and active space, active and passive recreation opportunities, as well as the potential for an Emergency Medical Services post in partnership with the County of Simcoe.
Phase 2 will involve drafting and releasing a Request for Proposal for the preparation of a comprehensive Master Plan for the Community Hub.
The successful proponent will be responsible for public consultation, preparing a long-term concept plan for the property, site servicing, cost projections and design criteria for future facility development.
