A traffic stop in Tay Township has resulted in drug charges.
The OPP says a white Dodge Charger was stopped at the intersection of Duffy Drive and Highway 12 just after midnight on Sunday, when an investigation led to the discovery of a powder and rock substances believed to be cocaine.
Police say open liquor was also seized and 35 year old from Penetanguishene is now facing several charges.
Police say is Winter Star KING is charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
- Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor contrary to the Liquor Licence Act
- Use plate not authorized for vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
The accused was released on an recognizance to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on October 7, 2021.
