Patti Scarrow led the Desboro offence with a triple and single,
Maddy Moore went the distance on the mound for the Royals, allowing 6 hits, with 3 walks and 13 strikeouts.
Moore also contributed a 2 run double.
Erika Ernst and Cassie Snider shared the pitching for Meaford, allowing 7 hits with 1 walk and had 9 strikeouts.

Blues Host Cottage Cup
This weekend Collingwood will host the inaugural Cottage Cup Showcase at the Eddie Bush Arena.
The two-day tournament will welcome the Cobourg Cougars, Ottawa Jr Sens, Navan Grads, North York Rangers, Trenton Golden Hawks and host Collingwood Blues.
On Saturday, the teams will each play two games with all teams qualifying for Championship Sunday where the winner of the Cottage Cup will be crowned.
The non-profit tournament is billed as the ultimate hockey weekend with 11 Junior A hockey games and at least 3 Collingwood Blues games.
The nonstop action will be intense and set the tone for the upcoming season OJHL season in front of fully vaccinated fans and scouts from NCAA & USports institutions.
