Barrie police had a busy day, dealing with possible threats at two local schools.
Police say early this morning, a threat was made against Bear Creek Secondary School, but following an investigation, officers were able to determine that the threat was unfounded and the lockdown was lifted within about 30 minutes.
A short time later, Barrie Police received information regarding a suspicious person in the area of Georgian College.
Officers attended the scene and were able to determine that there was no threat to the college or any other location.
The person was later located and confirmed nothing suspicious.
Police said the two occurrences were not related.
