The annual week-long Smile Cookie campaign begins today.
All proceeds from the sales of the $1 chocolate chunk cookies purchased at Tim Hortons locations until Sunday will be donated to a charity.
This year, 625 different charities and community groups will be supported during the Smile Cookie campaign, which runs from Sept. 13 through Sept. 19.
The charities, chosen by Tim Hortons restaurant owners, include hospitals, community care organizations, food banks and schools.
Here’s a look at the charities being supported in Simcoe-Muskoka:
BARRIE- Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre’s (RVH) Birthing Unit and Hospice Simcoe.
ORILLIA- The Lighthouse Community Services & Supportive Housing.
COLLINGWOOD/WB- The Georgian Triangle Humane Society & The Collingwood General and Marine Hospital Foundation.
STAYNER (Sunnidale Corners)- The Georgian Triangle Humane Society
SPRINGWATER- Elmvale & District Food Bank
MIDLAND/PENETANG- Hospice Huronia — Tomkins House
HUNTSVILLE- Muskoka Seniors
BRACEBRIDGE- Hospice Muskoka
GRAVENHURST- Muskoka Victim Services
Tim Hortons restaurant owners across North America have raised over $65 million through Smile Cookies, including a record-breaking $10.56 million raised last year alone.
