Multiple charges have been laid, following a drug and weapons bust in Springwater.
Several police units descended upon a home on Pinegrove Road early Saturday morning, when officers located various drugs such as cocaine, evidence of drug trafficking, and stolen property.
A total of 7 people, ranging in age from 23-71 are now facing a list of drug and weapons-related charges.
-A 26-year-old male from Springwater Twp has been charged with the following:
- · Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- · Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs
- · Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 x3
- · Unauthorized possession of a firearm x3
- · Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm x3
- · Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
- · Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose x3
- · Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court x3
A 30-year-old male from Springwater Twp has been charged with the following:
- · Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- · Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs
- · Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
A 35-year-old female from Springwater Twp has been charged with the following:
- · Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
A 23-year-old female from Springwater Twp has been charged with the following:
- · Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
A 28-year-old male from Springwater Twp has been charged with the following:
- · Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
A 71-year-old male from Springwater Twp has been charged with the following:
- · Possess proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000
A 27-year-old male from Springwater Twp has been charged with the following:
- · Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
One accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing while all others are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on November, 2, 2021.
