As a result of a joint investigation between members of the Huronia West Crime Unit of the OPP and the Canadian Anti-Counterfeiting Network, with assistance from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (USDHS) and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (CAFC), several search warrants have been executed in Wasaga Beach this morning.
These search warrants were executed as part of an ongoing counterfeit merchandise investigation in the area of Beach Drive and First Street.
Residents are being told to expect an increased police presence in the area.
There is no threat to public safety. More details will be released when available as the investigation is ongoing.
