The City of Owen Sound has installed new stop signs at 8th Street and 5th Avenue West at Hillcrest Elementary School.
The new signs will affect eastbound and westbound traffic. A release from the City says signs advising drivers of the change have been installed near the intersection.
A statement from the City says, “One of Council’s strategic initiatives is to recognize the importance of a safe and secure community. The full stop intersection in front of the school has been put in place to increase the safety margin for pedestrians.”
Kids return to school on September 7.
