CGMH is going to close the temporary Alternate Health Facility (AHF) at the Collingwood Legion.
Effective tomorrow (Sept 1) , the hospital will stop transferring patients to the AHF and the care of any remaining patients will be transitioned back to the main CGMH site by September 10, 2021.
As the economy continues with its reopening, the Collingwood Legion is looking to resume regular operations, and the hospital’s lease is expiring on September 30th.
“CGMH recognizes the impact of the pandemic on our team and resulting challenges with Health Human Resources. The opportunity to move valued team members back to the main site will provide some support in alleviating this issue. We look forward to their continuation as part of the CGMH team,” says Norah Holder, CGMH President and CEO, adding that, “operating the AHF was a tremendous team effort and we would like to thank all team members that were involved.”
CGMH would like to thank all of our community partners who provided input into the process of making the Legion a successful place to provide safe and effective patient care.
