The Grey Bruce Health Unit advises water samples taken at Southampton beach show results within acceptable levels under Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care standards.
Public Health says the beach is now deemed safe for bathing.
The beach was posted as unsafe on Aug. 26 after samples identified elevated levels of bacterial contamination.
“Although this latest sample result shows acceptable results the public is reminded that water conditions can change quickly. High winds and heavy rain are likely to have an adverse impact on water quality,” a release from the Grey Bruce Health Unit says.
