Organizers of the 30th annual Charity Golf Classic say the event held at Legacy Ridge earlier this month brought in more than $90,000 to support the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation.
Funds were raised through golf registrations, sponsorships, an online auction and donations at the tournament on Aug. 13. More than 50 local businesses provided sponsorships and prizes.
“Thanks to all of our golfers, sponsors, volunteers and everyone who helped make the day an amazing success,” says Denise Reid, Chair of the organizing committee. “We are thrilled to have raised $90,000 in support of healthcare in our community, especially with the continued considerations made for COVID-19.”
Since its inception 30 years ago, the Charity Golf Classic has raised over $1.4 million to support the purchase of new medical equipment for the Owen Sound Regional Hospital.
