The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is reporting 21 new COVID-19 cases today and no new deaths.
New cases include 6 in Barrie, 5 in New Tecumseth, 2 each in Tay Township and Wasaga Beach, and a case each in Orillia, Essa, Springwater, and Bradford West Gwillimbury.
Today’s update also includes 37 newly resolved cases and 4 hospitalizations.
To date, 81 percent of the region’s over-12 population has received its first vaccine dose while 73 percent have received their second.
