Meaford is planning to host a live fireworks event at the beginning of September.
The municipality’s Manager of Strategic Initiatives Janet Sperling explains they were not able to hold in-person fireworks this year and last year due to Covid regulations.
“This year fireworks were postponed on July 1 with the idea that September would be a better and safer time with larger outdoor gathering limits being allowed,” says Sperling.
The 15-minute fireworks show will be held on Sept. 3. It is scheduled to begin at sunset and held near the Meaford Harbour.
