Huron County OPP say a Hanover resident is facing a drug trafficking charge following a vehicle stop in Wingham.
According to police, on Aug. 23 around 12:45 p.m., Huron OPP Community Street Crimes Unit stopped a motorcycle on Josephine St. for having an unauthorized license plate on the bike.
Police say, the driver was arrested and a search revealed the accused had a large amount of suspected methamphetamine as well as drug trafficking paraphernalia, including a cell phone and cash.
The estimated street value of the quantity of meth seized is over $22,000.
OPP say the 37-year-old accused has been charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking and the use of an unauthorized license plate.
The accused has been released from custody and is set to appear in court for Oct. 18 in Goderich.
