Saugeen Shores Police have released an update about their investigation into a pair of recent collisions in Port Elgin.
Two Police responded to two motor vehicle collisions on July 25 at separate locations on Green Street between Highland Street and Harbour Street.
Police say the two collisions involved three vehicles. One of the incidents resulted in serious, non-life threatening injuries to a driver who had to be airlifted to St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto.
Investigators appealed to the public for information concerning these collisions.
Police say as a result of an investigation, the 26-year-old driver from Port Elgin who suffered serious injuries has been charged with operation while impaired, dangerous driving and failure to stop after accident.
