A pair of businesses have picked up $5 thousand in starter funding from the County of Huron.
Les & Nel’s Kitchenette in Dashwood is a new baking company that specializes in providing healthy baked snacking options for people with diet restrictions, including sugar free, wheat free and reduced carbohydrate options.
The business received the Starter Company Plus micro-financing grant for start-up costs including kitchen and office equipment.
Receiving the same funding is Wilhelmina Bakery, of Londesborough, which offers fresh, made-to-order: cakes, specialty mousse and Bavarian cakes, entrements, custom designed cakes, small pastries, tarts and cookies.
The micro-financing grant from the county will help to fund the purchase of specialty kitchen equipment.
