Four people from Orillia are facing drug trafficking charges after an OPP traffic stop.
On Friday night, police were patrolling Elgin Street in Orillia when they saw two suspicious vehicles–when one of them left the area, they committed a traffic violation, leading police to stop the vehicle.
After speaking with the driver, police started a drug investigation. Police seized a large amount of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl and meth, as well as canadian currency and a knife.
34-year-old Aaron Nottingham, 32-year-old Samantha Murray, 30-year-old Christopher Murray and 24-year-old Courtney Harrington were arrested, and face a slew of drug trafficking and possession charges.
They’re scheduled to appear in Orillia court on September 14th.
As well, the fifth person in the vehicle, 29-year-old Steven McGinn of Orillia, faces additional weapon charges.
