Bruce County has become a sponsor in next year’s Ontario’s Men’s Curling Championship, being held in Port Elgin.
During the county’s Executive Committee meeting on August 5th, county councillor and Saugeen Shores Mayor Luke Charbonneau put forward a motion that would see the county become a platinum sponsor.
It was explained earlier at the regular Bruce County Council meeting that such a sponsorship calls for a $5,000 cash donation and $5,000 worth of in-kind services.
In return, Bruce County will get in-ice advertising that will be visible to spectators at the Plex and to thousands of viewers of the live-streamed broadcasts along with other perks such as extensive recognition with name and/or logo in various locations at the event.
Charbonneau says it’s going to be a successful event and Bruce County needs to be a part of it.
Fellow councillors agreed and passed his motion to become a platinum sponsor.
Bruce County joins 6 other like-minded sponsors including Suzuki Canada; Holiday Inn Express and Suites Port Elgin; Remax Land Exchange Brokerages; Robert’s Farm Equipment; Castle Building Centres and Alair Homes.
The Port Elgin Chrysler ’22 Ontario Tankard, presented by Bruce Power, is set for February 9-13 at the Plex in Port Elgin.
