The Simcoe-Muskoka District Health Unit is reporting 9 new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths.
New cases include six cases in Barrie and 1 case each in New Tecumseth, Oro Medonte, and Georgian Bay.
The first update since last week also includes 2 new hospitalizations and four newly resolved cases.
To date, 79 percent of the region’s Over-12 population has received its first vaccination dose and 66 percent have received their second.
