There were tense moments in the south end of Barrie Friday afternoon as a large fireball erupted at a propane facility on Bayview Dr. near Lockhart Rd.
Fire fighters responded just before 2 p.m. and reported the fire was under control about an hour later.
No injuries were reported. The area around the fire was evacuated as a precaution.
Crews remain on scene of the fire that is now under control at a propane facility in the south end of Barrie. There are no injuries reported and Barrie Police are maintaining the 1 km safety zone around the site.
