A 47-year-old Oro-Medonte man faces several charges in connection to thefts from parked vehicles.
OPP say early this morning they received tips about a man checking door handles of parked cars in the Cedar Island Road area of Orillia.
Police say he fled when they showed up, but was caught after a short foot chase.
He was found to be in possession of crystal meth, cash, pills and vehicle break-in tools, as well as items believed to be stolen from vehicles.
His charges include drug possession/possession for the purpose of trafficking, assaulting police, resisting arrest, breach of probation and trespass amongst others.
He’s being held in custody for a court hearing in Barrie April 24th.
