Police say a drunk driver on a Seadoo is responsible for crashing into a family on a Kayak on Three Mile Lake.
On Saturday afternoon, police say the Seadoo with two occupants, collided with a family of three on a kayak about 150 metres from shore, sending two adults and a child to hospital with minor injuries.
The 28 year-old female passenger of the Seadoo also suffered minor injuries.
Police arrested and charged 28 year-old Tara Conetta of Toronto, ON with the following:
- Impaired Operation CC 320.14(1)(a)
- Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b)
- Fail to keep proper look out and Failure to have proof of competency on board of pleasure craft contrary to the Canadian Shipping Act.
She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on September 21, 2021 to answer to her charges.
