Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred says the process of keeping the Oakland Athletics from relocating is at the end
Manfred relates they are now at the decision point for the city of Oakland as to whether they want to have Major League Baseball moving forward
The Coliseum in Oakland has been deemed as a nonviable option and building a waterfront ballpark in downtown Oakland at the Howard Terminal site is the desire.
However, if Oakland City Council doesn’t side with the plan, then the A’s might look to relocate to Las Vegas.

Blackhawks Investigation
Florida Panthers coach Joel Quenneville has offered to participate in the Chicago Blackhawks’ review of allegations by a former player who says he was sexually assaulted by an assistant coach in 2010.
A former federal prosecutor has been hired by the Blackhawks to conduct what the team says is an independent investigative review of the allegations in a pair of lawsuits filed against the franchise.
The suits allege sexual assault by former assistant coach Bradley Aldrich.
Ducharme Extended
The Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League announced that the interim tag has been removed from Dominique Ducharme’s title and he has signed a 3-year contract extension as head coach.
Ducharme took over behind the Canadiens bench in February after the dismissal of Claude Julien.
Under Ducharme, the Canadiens made a remarkable journey to the Stanley Cup Final.
Attack Announcement
Reports indicate the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League will make an announcement today.
There’s some speculation that this announcement could pertain to a major event ahead on the hockey calendar. It’s been suggested the Attack and/or the city if Owen Sound could be prominent parts of a significant hockey oriented promotion in 2022.
Another source relates that today’s announcement is more likely to be the formal announcement of a player signing for the upcoming OHL season.
