A couple of pickleball courts will be popping up outside of Owen Sound City Hall on weekday evenings and Sundays.
City officials say the courts will be located in the City Hall Parking Lot — adjacent to 1st Avenue East — and available for use at no charge.
The hours of operation will be Monday to Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The city advises parking will not be available in the City Hall parking lot during these times.
The courts are available on a first come basis and cannot be booked in advanced.
Rackets and balls will be available for those players who do not have their own equipment.
Pickleball is a paddle sport that features a net and shares some similarities to tennis and other racket sports, but has several modifications to its rules and court dimensions.
