The Grey Bruce Health Unit is further accelerating the region’s Covid vaccination effort, and urging people to re-book second appointments.
The Health Unit says in a statement increased vaccine supply coming to Grey Bruce and a lower interval between doses, should allow its immunization campaign to be complete this month.
“As a result mass immunization clinics and second vaccine appointments scheduled in August and September are no longer necessary,” a release from Public Health explains. “The Grey Bruce Health Unit asks everyone who has a second dose vaccine appointment after July 16 to cancel that appointment and re-book to an earlier clinic.”
Vaccine clinics are running daily from Monday to Friday in Grey Bruce, with a limited walk-in capacity.
Public Health says booking an appointment will ensure there is a vaccine available. It can be done through the provincial online booking system, at least 28 days after a first injection.
