Starting today, fully vaccinated travellers will not be required to quarantine or complete a day-8 test, after arriving in Canada.
In addition, fully vaccinated travellers arriving by air will not be required to stay at a government-authorized hotel to await their on-arrival test result.
To be considered fully vaccinated, a traveller must have received the full series of a vaccine — or combination of vaccines — accepted by the Government of Canada at least 14 days prior to entering our country.
Currently, those vaccines are manufactured by Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, and Janssen (Johnson & Johnson).
Fully vaccinated travellers must submit their mandatory information including their digital proof of vaccination in English or French through the ArriveCAN app or website before arriving at the border.
There are no changes for travellers who are not fully vaccinated, while the Canada US border remains closed for non-essential travel until July 21.
Starting July 5 at 11:59 p.m. EDT, fully vaccinated travellers who are eligible to enter Canada may be exempt from quarantine and day-8 testing. Pre-entry and arrival tests are still required.

📢 Reminder: if you travel to the #UnitedStates and are not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, you may be turned away at the border because of #COVID19 measures and restrictions still in place. #NowIsNotTheTime to travel.
