If you own property in Huron County, you could receive funding for clean water initiatives you are undertaking.
The County of Huron has allocated $450 thousand for the “Huron County Clean Water Project,” which is delivered by the Ausable Bayfield and Maitland Valley Conservation Authorities.
Limited funding assistance covering up to 50 per cent of the costs of eligible projects is awarded to county farmers, rural landowners, businesses and community organizations.
Grants are available for erosion control projects (grassed waterways, catch basins, terraces and berms), rural stormwater management, clean water diversion, livestock fencing, and upgrades to septic systems.
