A former Chicago Blackhawk player who alleges a team video coach sexually assaulted him and a teammate in 2010 says he is still struggling 11 years later with the impact.
The Blackhawks have commissioned an independent investigation into allegations that former Blackhawks video coach Brad Aldrich sexually abused two players during the 2009-10 season.
Allegations persist that Blackhawks management at the time refused to go to police to file a complaint.
OHL Openers
The Ontario Hockey League announced the home opening games for the upcoming season.
The Owen Sound Attack will start on the road Friday October 8th at London and then host the Knights in a rematch in the Attack home opener on October 9th at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre
The full Attack & OHL schedule is due to be released today.
It’s anticipated the schedule will be extremely Conference oriented.
From an Owen Sound stanpoint it’s anticipated that outside of Barrie, the Attack won’t face any other Eastern Conference teams this year.
Attack Release
The Ontario Hockey League announced home opening games for the 2021-22 season, with the Owen Sound Attack drawing division rival the London Knights for their home opener on Saturday, October 9th at 7:30 p.m. at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
In what will be a battle of the Canadian Hockey Leagues two most consistent organizations, both teams will look to get off to a fast start in what will once again a very competitive western conference.
Historically, the Attack hold 2-0 record when hosting their home opener against the Knights, winning in decisive fashion both times. In 1999-2000, Joel Ward had two goals, Bryan Kazarian had three assists and Curtis Sanford had 22 saves in a 6-2 victory, while to start the 2005-2006 season, Bobby Ryan tallied two goals and two assists, while Jeff Kyrakos added a goal and two assists in an 8-1 win.
The Attack will hope to have similar success on Saturday, October 9th as they kick off the 2021-22 campaign. The night before Attack will be the visiting team at Budweiser Gardens for the Knights home opener.

OHL Release
The Ontario Hockey League today announced 2021-22 regular season home openers for all 20 member teams.
The 680-game OHL regular season opens on Thursday October 7 with action in North Bay (vs. Peterborough, 7:00pm), Windsor (vs. Sarnia, 7:30pm) and Barrie (vs. Niagara, 7:30pm). Opening Week action continues on Friday October 8 with seven home openers followed by an additional five on Saturday October 9 and another on Sunday October 10.
The entire 2021-22 Ontario Hockey League regular season schedule will be released on Tuesday June 29 at 3:00pm.

Stage 2 For Hanover Raceway Release
Hanover Raceway will be permitted under Stage Two of the provinces re-opening plan to have 317 fans able to attend our races, beginning on Saturday, July 3rd.
The only registration method will be our on-line registration system, which will open on Wednesdays at
9:00 am for that week’s race card, at register.hanoverraceway.com. Registrations will be available until
10:00 am Saturday morning or until the limit of 317 is reached.
We will not be taking any bookings by phone or email. This system will ensure ease of contact tracing for
all guests, as part of the provinces conditions for re-opening. Guests will also be asked to engage in passive
COVID-19 on-line screening form and are welcomed to the track if they:
– Have no symptoms (fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, or shortness of breath)
– Have not travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days
– Have not been in close contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19
We ask that all guests wear a face covering when arriving at our parking lot to check in, as well as when
interacting with our staff on-site. We also ask that you wear a face covering when you are within six feet of someone that is not from your household. Otherwise, guests are not required to wear a face covering if
they adhere to those conditions in an outdoor setting.
Maximum six guests at a table together on our Tarmac.
The Raceway will have an outside food booth available for your food and beverage needs, as well as two
betting windows with tellers and a self serve machine, which will be on the Tarmac for your convenience.
Washrooms will be available and are located in the bottom of the grandstand.
Checked in fans will not be eligible to go to the backstretch, regardless of their AGCO eligibility.

Tomorrow morning at 11 am, the Knights of Columbus will be making cheque presentation at the offices of 560 CFOS/Bayshore Broadcasting.
The Knights will present a cheque for $ 10,000 to the Canadian Mental Health Association based on the success of Radio Bingo on 560 CFOS
