The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported 15 new Covid cases on Thursday.
According to Public Health, six people from Meaford, four from Owen Sound, two people from South Bruce Peninsula, and residents of West Grey, Brockton and Neyaashiinigmiing tested positive.
It’s the second straight day Grey Bruce has logged 15 new cases, increasing the region’s active known case load to 60. Five Grey Bruce residents are hospitalized locally and another is receiving care outside the area.
More than 139,000 Covid vaccine doses have been administered in the region to date.
Seven Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus over the course of the pandemic.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Thursday is reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Wednesday.
