Two trucks have been taken out of service and numerous charges have been laid during a commercial motor vehicle blitz in Wasaga Beach.
Huronia West OPP conducted a commercial motor vehicle blitz in the town yesterday morning to ensure safety compliance.
Police say four trucks were stopped for vehicle safety inspections and two were put out of service for major violations.
A total of 17 charges were laid.
They included:
- Defective braking systems
- Improper classes of licence for commercial vehicle
- Not surrendering drivers licences
- Not completing daily inspections
- Expired annual inspections
The OPP is committed to traffic safety and will continue to take part in safety initiatives and inspections for commercial motor vehicles.
