A Cash and Canned Goods Drive to benefit area food banks in Muskoka is happening this week.
The ‘Battle of Muskoka Cash and Canned Goods Drop Off and Go Event’ will see residents in Huntsville, Gravenhurst and Bracebridge be given 3 hours each to drop off as much cash and canned goods as they can at three locations.

In Gravenhurst, the event’s happening Friday at Trinity United Church at 290 Muskoka Road between 12 and 6 pm.
In Bracebridge, it’s happening this Saturday at the Leons Bracebridge parking lot at 6 Robert Dollar Drive between 12 and 6 pm.
Huntsville’s chance happens this Sunday at the Leons Huntsville parking lot at 67 Silverwood Drive between 12-6 pm.
The drives will benefit the Table Soup Kitchen in Huntsville and the Huntsville Salvation Army, Gravenhurst Against Poverty and Gravenhurst Salvation Army, the Bracebridge Salvation Army, and Manna Food Bank in Bracebridge.
The event is being put on by Jordan Scott & Golden Nugget BBQ.
“Each town has six hours to come together as a community and a team to drop off and go as much donations in cash and canned goods,” says Jordan. “All donations stay local.”
All COVID-19 safety restrictions will be in place and mandatory at the three locations.
