While Premier Doug Ford may be musing about an early move to step two of the province’s reopening plan, his Chief Medical Officer says not yet.
Dr. David Williams says new Covid-19 cases are still cropping up:
“The numbers are better than they were – they’re still high,” said Williams in an update this afternoon. “And we’ve still got a ways to come down. And the fact that before we’d say ‘Well, they’re concentrated in two or three areas’ – that’s not true. They’re all over and we see delta variants showing up in all our health units.”
Williams says he’d rather stay the course with a slow and careful re-opening.
